Brim: The "Gonzo" of Content Management
If you remember the muppets, you'll remember that no one ever really knew what Gonzo was. The same can be true of Brim; even the developers refer to Brim as a "A multithingy something" - as a category of software hasn't been clearly defined for it.
I was searching for a solution like Brim for the following reason. As I've mentioned before, I have a Linux machine on my home network that's always on. I have Apache installed on it to access some aspects of it from work. The problem is, I've wanted some automated way to keep my favorite links in a special place.
Brim seems to fit these needs, as well as include as some other items like Contacts, Calendars, Banking, GMail, and Weather. Brim was formerly Booby, though I imagine Googling for "Booby" wasn't always smiled upon.

(I've got some personal administration information blocked out in the above image.) Installation is automated for either a personal server or a commercial host. Also, the content is protected behind some authentication to protect your content.
